For each transaction, vidaReady:
Reads customer country from Stripe
Pulls billing address, card country, and payment metadata from your Stripe account via read-only API.
Checks for a VAT ID in the metadata
Looks for a VAT ID in charge metadata or customer fields. If found, sends it live to VIES for validation.
Classifies: B2B, B2C, or Reverse Charge
Valid VAT ID → B2B (reverse charge, 0% VAT). No/invalid ID → B2C, applies that country's VAT rate.
Calculates net amount + VAT
Splits your Stripe charge into net + VAT using the correct country rate. Shows zero for B2B — those don't count.
Aggregates into your OSS report
Groups all transactions by country. Produces the exact per-country breakdown your OSS filing requires.
ViDA — "VAT in the Digital Age" — is the EU's landmark regulation adopted March 2025. From 2026, tax authorities cross-reference your payment platform data with your VAT filings automatically.
If you accept Stripe payments from EU customers, your transaction data is already visible to tax authorities. A mismatch between what Stripe shows and what you file triggers automated audits across all 27 member states simultaneously.
Before ViDA: enforcement was slow. The gray zone was real. Many founders operated without filing.
After ViDA: real-time cross-referencing. Non-compliance is detectable in days, not years.
vidaReady produces ViDA-ready reports: country-level, classified, VIES-validated.

What founders say
“I used to spend 3 hours every quarter sorting Stripe exports in spreadsheets. Now it takes 5 minutes.”
Marco B.
SaaS founder
“Our accountant was charging €400/quarter just to classify transactions. vidaReady costs less per year than one invoice.”
Lena K.
Co-founder, e-learning
“The VIES validation caught several B2C customers falsely claiming B2B status. That alone paid for the subscription.”
Thomas R.
CTO, subscription SaaS
The difference
Export raw Stripe CSV
30+ columns of noise. Manually filter EU rows one by one.
Look up VAT rates per country
Open a new tab for each of the 27 EU member states.
Guess B2B vs B2C
Did they provide a valid VAT ID? No idea without a VIES lookup.
Pray it matches under ViDA
Tax authorities now cross-reference Stripe data automatically.
3+ hours per quarter
Every quarter. Plus €150–400 to an accountant to double-check.
Connect Stripe once (30 sec)
One read-only API key. We never store your transaction data.
Every transaction classified
B2B, B2C, or Reverse Charge — via live VIES lookup per VAT ID.
All 27 countries, correct rates
Live EU VAT rates applied per country. No manual lookups ever.
ViDA-compliant output
Country-level, classified reports that match ViDA enforcement expectations.
5 minutes per quarter
Click Generate → download CSV → send to accountant or file directly.
How it works
Paste one restricted read-only API key. Takes 30 seconds. We never write to your Stripe account.
Every EU transaction: B2B, B2C, or Reverse Charge — with live VIES VAT ID validation.
OSS-ready CSV by country, DATEV or Xero export, or a PDF summary for your accountant.
Common misconceptions
Common Mistake
The €10,000 threshold is cumulative across all EU countries — not per country. At €834/month average EU revenue you're already above it. SaaS, courses, e-books, API access — all count.
A two-year audit for a founder doing €60k/yr EU revenue can result in a €12–20k+ retroactive tax bill.
